Good Golly Miss Molly

I spoke with Capt. Obvious' sister (COS) yesterday.

COS : *** Dental clinic, good evening.
Thanatos : Yeah, I have pain in about 3 teeth and need a noon appointment asap.
COS : Have you been here before?
T : Yep.
COS : Name and date of birth please?
T : (large number of vowels and consonants that have no right to be so close to each other)
COS : (finding name on 3rd attempt at spelling) So Mr. [redacted] how may I help you?
T : Toothache, noon appointment?
COS : Hows Thursday?
T : Okay, I guess.
COS : So is this a general checkup or a .... (voice trails off)
T : 3 teeth. Pain. Fix. And yes, a general checkup too.

Didn't know the torture began before you got to the dentist's chair.

I remember reading somewhere in your blog that you like Ogden Dash so like he describes a visit to the dentist, 'A torture that is both mental and physical' perhaps?

And oh, take care. And if the COS acts stupid you can always punch her teeth out and then say it was the toothache.

Reasons behind Hitler's unreasonable madness: Toothache, The Single Ball Theory. :D

Rich spoilt NRI kids also studied in Indian schools and did Indian things like slog butt off for Board Exams, try and ace Board Exams, got the Science-Engineering route (OMG! Whowouldathunk and all that! ;))

I always thought ICSE had a better English reader. The highlight in our textbooks was The Rime of the Ancient Mariner while they read Merchant of Venice. Woe is us.
